BEING SUCCESSFUL IS EASY, THE HARD PART IS MAKING THE DECISION.

Ive written this article for you explaining why having a YELP account and a personal website will greatly help your business acquire more Athletes/Clients. I spend roughly 15+ hours a day online. I see what works and what doesn’t for my current clients and past. Im a data guy and use massive amounts of data from online sources to acquire what I know. I do know this about this industry. If you have your own personal website AND a YELP account, you will be far ahead of your competition. I know most of you will not read this so for you that do, remember this, BEING SUCCESSFUL IS EASY, THE HARD PART IS MAKING THE DECISION.
I wanted to discuss a strategy that could immensely benefit our business by combining the advantages of having our own website alongside a presence on Yelp.

In today’s digital age, an online presence is paramount for the success of any business, and the fitness industry is no exception. While Yelp offers us a fantastic opportunity to connect with potential clients, having our own website can further amplify our reach, enhance our brand, and attract a wider audience. Allow me to outline the benefits of having both platforms working in synergy:

  1. Comprehensive Branding: Our website serves as a digital storefront, showcasing our unique brand, values, and services. We can design the website to align with our brand identity, incorporating our logo, color scheme, and personalized content. By highlighting our distinctive features, we create a lasting impression and a recognizable online presence.
  2. Customizable Content: A website grants us the freedom to curate content that precisely represents our offerings and expertise. We can provide detailed information about our trainers, their qualifications, and their specialized training programs. Additionally, we can include testimonials from satisfied clients, success stories, and compelling visuals that exhibit the results of our training methods.
  3. Search Engine Visibility: Unlike Yelp, where clients actively search for personal training facilities, having our own website improves our chances of appearing in broader search engine results. When potential clients search for fitness-related keywords or our facility by name, our website can rank higher in search engine listings, increasing the likelihood of being discovered by a larger audience.
  4. Direct Communication and Lead Generation: Our website acts as a hub for direct communication with potential clients. We can include contact forms, inquiry options, and even live chat features to engage with visitors in real time. By capturing leads through our website, we have the opportunity to convert interested prospects into long-term clients.
  5. Seamless Integration: We can seamlessly integrate our Yelp presence with our website, creating a cohesive online presence. By linking to our Yelp profile, we can leverage the positive reviews and ratings from satisfied clients to instill trust and credibility in potential customers who visit our website.

To establish our website, I recommend the following steps:

  1. Choose a domain name that aligns with our brand and is easy to remember.
  2. Select a reliable web hosting provider to ensure our website is accessible and loads quickly.
  3. Design and develop our website using user-friendly platforms like WordPress, which offer customizable templates and a straightforward interface.
  4. Incorporate essential pages, such as the homepage, about us, services, trainer profiles, testimonials, and contact information.
  5. Optimize our website for search engines by incorporating relevant keywords, meta tags, and providing valuable content for visitors.

By combining our website with our presence on Yelp, we can create a robust online strategy that maximizes our visibility, engages potential clients, and establishes us as industry leaders.

I encourage you to explore the potential of having our own website alongside Yelp, and please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Together, we can propel SelfMade Training Facility to new heights and continue providing exceptional fitness experiences for our valued clients.

If you would like more help on this just let me know by contacting me directly.

Don't put all your eggs into the Instagram basket!

In the digital age, personal trainers must adapt to online marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition. While Instagram has gained popularity as a visual-centric platform, it’s important not to overlook the potential of search engine optimization (SEO) with Google. When considering the reach and user base of these platforms, it becomes evident that focusing on Google and Facebook yields greater benefits for personal trainers.

Google, being the most widely used search engine globally, is a juggernaut in the digital realm. With over 20 times the site traffic of Instagram, it provides personal trainers with an unmatched opportunity to capture a vast audience actively seeking fitness-related services. By optimizing their website and content for Google’s algorithms, personal trainers can improve their visibility, attract organic traffic, and increase their chances of being discovered by potential clients.

Additionally, Facebook’s extensive user base makes it an indispensable platform for personal trainers. With three times the size of Instagram, Facebook offers a range of advertising tools and targeting options that can significantly enhance a trainer’s outreach efforts. Through precise targeting based on demographics, interests, and behaviors, personal trainers can effectively reach potential clients who are more likely to be interested in their fitness services.

While Instagram remains popular for its visual appeal and engagement, it cannot match the scale and searchability of Google and the user base of Facebook. Personal trainers should invest time and resources into optimizing their websites for Google search results and utilize Facebook’s advertising capabilities to maximize their online presence and attract potential clients.

In conclusion, prioritizing SEO with Google and leveraging the vast user base of Facebook provides personal trainers with unparalleled opportunities to grow their businesses. While Instagram has its merits, it is essential for trainers to focus on platforms that offer wider reach and audience targeting capabilities. By strategically harnessing the power of Google and Facebook, personal trainers can ensure a more effective online presence and increase their chances of connecting with individuals actively seeking fitness services.

Insulin sensitivity refers to how responsive your body’s cells are to insulin, a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels. Insulin sensitivity is an important factor in overall health, as poor insulin sensitivity can contribute to a range of health problems, including diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.

Understanding Insulin Sensitivity:

When we eat carbohydrates, our body breaks them down into glucose, which is then transported through the bloodstream to our cells. Insulin is produced by the pancreas and acts as a key, unlocking the cells so that glucose can enter and be used for energy. When insulin sensitivity is high, our cells respond effectively to insulin, and glucose is efficiently absorbed, reducing the amount of glucose circulating in the blood.

However, when insulin sensitivity is low, our cells do not respond as effectively to insulin, meaning glucose remains in the bloodstream for longer, leading to high blood sugar levels. Over time, this can cause the pancreas to produce more insulin in an attempt to regulate blood sugar levels, leading to insulin resistance, a precursor to type 2 diabetes.

Factors affecting insulin sensitivity:

A variety of factors can influence insulin sensitivity, including:

  1. Diet: A diet high in processed foods, sugar, and saturated fats can contribute to insulin resistance, while a diet rich in fiber, healthy fats, and whole foods can improve insulin sensitivity.
  2. Exercise: Regular exercise has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity by helping muscles to absorb glucose and reducing inflammation.
  3. Body composition: Excess body fat, particularly around the waist, has been linked to insulin resistance.
  4. Genetics: Insulin sensitivity can be influenced by genetics, with some people being more predisposed to insulin resistance than others.

Why is insulin sensitivity important?

Insulin sensitivity is an important marker of overall health. Poor insulin sensitivity is linked to a range of health problems, including:

  1. Type 2 diabetes: Insulin resistance is a precursor to type 2 diabetes, a condition where the body is unable to effectively regulate blood sugar levels.
  2. Cardiovascular disease: High blood sugar levels and insulin resistance have been linked to an increased risk of heart disease.
  3. Obesity: Insulin resistance has been linked to weight gain and obesity.
  4. Inflammation: Insulin resistance can cause inflammation in the body, which has been linked to a range of health problems, including autoimmune conditions, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.

Improving insulin sensitivity:

The good news is that insulin sensitivity can be improved through lifestyle changes, including:

  1. Diet: Eating a diet rich in fiber, healthy fats, and whole foods, while limiting processed foods and sugar, can improve insulin sensitivity.
  2. Exercise: Regular exercise, particularly strength training, can improve insulin sensitivity by helping muscles to absorb glucose and reducing inflammation.
  3. Sleep: Getting enough sleep is important for overall health, and studies have shown that poor sleep can contribute to insulin resistance.
  4. Stress management: Chronic stress has been linked to insulin resistance, so finding ways to manage stress, such as through meditation, yoga, or therapy, can improve insulin sensitivity.

Conclusion:

Insulin sensitivity is an important marker of overall health, with poor insulin sensitivity linked to a range of health problems, including diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Fortunately, insulin sensitivity can be improved through lifestyle changes, including diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management. By taking steps to improve insulin sensitivity, we can improve our overall health and reduce our risk of chronic disease

Growing up in Argentina, I never placed much emphasis on fitness and health. However, when I moved to the United States, I realized the impact that a healthy lifestyle could have on one’s quality of life. Motivated by my own transformation, I decided to become a personal trainer and help others achieve their fitness goal, READ MORE ABOUT MATIAS: Here

Hey everyone, my name is Miguel Angel Aguilar and I am excited to introduce myself to you. I am a husband to my beautiful wife Priscilla and a father to two amazing daughters, Jadyn and Rylee Aguilar.

Growing up, my childhood was not easy. I grew up in an abusive household where I experienced physical and mental abuse from my mother and father. At the age of 12, I was abandoned by my mother, and in search of a family, I joined a neighborhood gang. At the age of 16, my father was incarcerated with a 22-year sentence, which forced me to become homeless.

However, God had a plan for me, and I found wrestling. Wrestling gave me the opportunity to learn skills that one can only know by competing against all odds. It made me into the man that I am today. I barely graduated high school and joined the workforce, where I eventually met my mentor.

My mentor told me to get my real estate license, and I didn’t procrastinate. I became a young entrepreneur, hustling and taking no excuses, and only succeeding. Fast forward to today, I am the owner of a national company called Self Made Training Facility. What started in 2014 in a garage has now grown to nationwide recognition.

I have faced many challenges and obstacles along the way, including addiction, but I have never given up. I am proud of what I have accomplished so far, but I know that I am just getting started. Stay tuned, because there is so much more to come!

Finding the Right Fitness Job: Tips for Personal Trainers

If you’re a personal trainer looking for a new fitness facility to work at, it can be tough to know where to start your search. With so many gyms and studios out there, it’s important to find one that aligns with your values, career goals, and personal brand. Here are gyms hiring trainerssome tips to help you find the right fitness job for you:

  1. Do your research: Before you start applying to fitness facilities, take some time to research the ones that catch your eye. Look up their website and social media channels, read reviews from clients and employees, and see if they align with your personal and professional values. This can help you narrow down your options and focus on the facilities that are the best fit for you.
  2. Network with other trainers: Reach out to other personal trainers in your area and ask them about the facilities they’ve worked at. They may have valuable insights and recommendations that can help you find the right fit. You can also join online fitness communities and groups to connect with other trainers and learn more about the industry.
  3. Use relevant keywords: When searching for fitness job openings online, use keywords that are relevant to your skills and experience. For example, “personal training jobs” or “fitness employment opportunities” can help you find job postings that are specifically geared towards personal trainers.
  4. Consider the culture: When you’re interviewing for a fitness job, pay attention to the culture of the facility. Are the employees friendly and supportive? Does the facility prioritize continuing education and professional development? These factors can have a big impact on your job satisfaction and long-term success.
  5. Negotiate your compensation: Don’t be afraid to negotiate your compensation package when you’re offered a fitness job. Know your worth and be prepared to advocate for yourself. This can help ensure that you’re being fairly compensated for your skills and experience.

Coast Guard vet lunges into fitness franchise

Cancer and COVID-19 both tried to throw curveballs at Christopher Alcala’s post-military career plans.

Cancer and COVID-19 both tried to throw curveballs at Christopher Alcala’s post-military career plans, but the Los Angeles native continues to overcome whatever challenges life throws in front of him.

Alcala was diagnosed with Stage 4 Leukemia at the age of 25, an obstacle that ended his hopes of becoming a police officer in Los Angeles after serving four years in the Coast Guard. The experience landed Alcala in a bad place.

“I was so very lost, I didn’t know what to do, I was angry at the world,” he said.

The aftermath took Alcala into the real estate world, a career his father thrived in for more than 35 years, but one that Christopher found wasn’t truly a fit for him.

“I wasn’t making bad money, but I wasn’t fulfilled,” he said. “I felt like I was lying to myself about it and when I do something, I want to be all in.”

The experience wasn’t a total waste of time for Alcala. Hardly. Through life as a real estate agent, Alcala met the man who led him on a path to a promising career as a franchise owner of a fitness facility.

He was introduced to Miguel Aguilar, the CEO and President of Self Made Training Facility, or SMTF, an innovative workout franchise where trainers rent space to serve their clients. The business model is similar to a hairstylist renting out a chair in a salon. Trainers pay a flat monthly fee of $800-$1,950 depending on the location to have access to the entire facility to train their clients.

“We always say we’re a private training facility,” Alcala said. “We’re a place for entrepreneurs to learn, learn about their business and to sell their business. We give them so many streams of revenue that they can pick from, you have to put the work in.”

Aguilar offered Alcala and his wife, Kaylee, an opportunity to open the first franchise near Hollywood, an opportunity that Alcala jumped at.

“The company just spoke to me, and my wife enjoyed what the company was about,” Alcala said. “So we took the shot. It was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, especially with the time we purchased our franchise, two weeks before the world shut down.”

COVID-19 threw the Alcalas another setback. The first step in the franchising process, finding a building, was delayed two years because of pandemic restrictions and the hesitation of some to do business with a first-time entrepreneur.

“People looked at me and said I was too young, they didn’t take me seriously,” said Alcala, who was 31 at the time.

The Alcalas put in offers for 22 buildings over a year and half and continued to be rejected before finally finding a location. Following challenges with building permits and contractors, the Alcalas finally broke ground on their franchise on Feb. 1, 2022, and recently celebrated their one-year anniversary.

“I think fitness can be pretty intimidating to some people that have never been in the gym or that are overweight or that are anorexic or just, just people in general, if they’ve never been to a gym or they’re not comfortable in that setting,” Alcala said. “It’s hard for them to feel accepted, so my main mission coming into this was I wanted everybody to feel comfortable, whether you’re a 12-year-old-kid, your soccer mom, your grandma, I don’t care. I want everybody to feel welcome at my facility and feel safe coming in.”

That facility door is especially open to veterans and first responders, many of whom may also be looking for something else in life.

“My heart’s a little bit a little bit more open to veterans because I get their transition in the mindset,” Alcala said. “I always said, I forgot to schedule a dentist appointment for a year and a half after the military because they just scheduled them for you and you just went. I think the biggest thing for me is when we run across veterans or veterans reach out to me, I always try to help them with the transition more than the building of the business. Most people in the military that I’ve run into are pretty good people because they encounter so many different types of people in the military.”

We asked the experts how to ease the effects of sitting at a desk all day.

Chances are, as you’re reading this, you’re hunched over your phone or slouched at your desk. And it hurts. You’re in desperate need of some exercises for low back pain.

Your lower back is one of the most important parts of your body’s kinetic chain. “It’s where everything in the body connects,” says Jeff Brannigan, program director at Stretch*d, which offers in-studio and online classes. When this area of the body becomes tight, injured, or weak, it can wreak havoc in every other area of the body.

The vertebrae in your lower back—a.k.a. the lumbar spine—are the largest and bear the most weight, which means there are many possible ways to wind up with lower back pain. Simply sitting for long periods of time is one of the biggest culprits. “Most often, back pain results with no known cause,” says Jordan Seda, DPT, OCS, a certified strength and conditioning specialist at Stroma. “For example, imagine sitting at a desk and feeling a spasm in your back an hour into your workday. Prolonged periods of inactivity do not treat the body well.”

Of course, there are plenty of ways to wind up with a lower back injury that don’t involve sitting. “Lower back pain or weakness can stem from a multitude of reasons depending on your field of work,” says Miguel Aguilar, founder of Self Made Training. “Working a hard-labor job consisting of picking up or pulling heavy objects, crouching and bending over, or repeating the same movement repeatedly can cause lower back pain.”

Caring for your lumbar spine and finding lower back pain relief is all about having the right balance of exercise and stretching. “Each segment of your body needs to have a certain amount of flexibility and a certain amount of stability,” says Jenna Crivelli, DPT, a physical therapist at Stroma.

It needs to be able to support you as you bend over to pickup your toddler and keep you steady when you have to stand for an hour when you can’t find a seat on the train. “Health is about balance, and so the spine is also about balance,” Crivelli says. Figuring out how to relieve lower back pain, therefore, requires a mix of movement, stretching, and strength training.

First, you want to stay mobile. “Our bodies were made to move,” says Seda. “Movement allows for circulation of fluids that keep our tissues healthy and prepared for having to perform more strenuous physical tasks.” When we sit at a desk all day without taking walk breaks, it’s “terrible” for the body, adds Brannigan.

Finally, it’s important to make sure you’re also doing strength-building exercises one to two times a week to keep your back muscles strong, says Aguilar. “Surrounding our spines are core muscles that keep our spine stable,” he says. “It’s important to balance stretching with strength-building exercises to help lengthen muscle tissues and increase flexibility to be able to perform muscle-building exercises pain-free, and with greater range of motion to make the exercise more effective.” Free workout apps and YouTube workouts are a great place to start.

The most important thing you can do to fix lower back pain is to have a consistent routine filled with the best back exercises. (Some good workout songs won’t hurt either.) Here are 17 lower back exercises designed to keep you flexible, strong, and pain-free.

The Pelvic Clock

“I love this exercise, as it can be used as a way to warm up to other exercises,” says Mody of this move to help strengthen the lower back. “It is subtle but effective at awakening your abdominals and improving stability of the lumbo-pelvic junction.”

Pelvic clock
Courtesy of Stroma Physical Therapy
  • Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet shoulder-width apart. Imagine that there is a clock face resting on your abdomen with a marble in the center of the clock.
  • Slowly draw in your stomach muscles toward your spine and tilt your pelvis back, flattening your back onto the mat. Imagine the marble rolling toward 12 o’clock.
  • Next, tilt your pelvis forward, rolling onto your tailbone. Imagine the marble rolling toward 6 o’clock. The stomach muscles will relax and your back should arch off the mat slightly.
  • Next, drop your left hip bone down toward the mat. Your right hip bone will lift toward the ceiling as you imagine the marble rolling toward 3 o’clock.
  • Finally, drop your right hip bone down toward the mat as you imagine the marble rolling toward 9 o’clock.
  • Repeat five times clockwise and five times counterclockwise.

Bird Dog

“This is one of the most researched low back exercises, as it works on the stabilization of the low back (lumbar multifidi) while keeping the abdominals (transversus abdominis) contracted,” says Mody. The key: making sure your abdominals stay engaged and activated throughout the movement.

When I first disrupted the industry it was something positive that brought value to personal trainers to truly create the careers they dreamed of. It can also be a negative when disrupting the industry as it’s very easy to falsify the success of entrepreneurs through “get quick rich” schemes.

Miguel, who is the owner and CEO of Self Made Training Facilities and Self Made Real Estate, is by no means a stranger to lowriding. His latest project would include a collaboration with Junior’s Custom Upholstery, Pacific Stereo and Herman of Engrave It, just to name a few. It was Pete’s work of Hot Dog Kustoms that kept the SEMA attendees gazing for hours. The vibrant pearl white paint along with the dazzling patterns and flake, found on the dash and trunk, is the visible reason why this car was chosen to represent the PPG brand.

Miguel Aguilar Reveals How He Became Self-Made

What does the phrase ‘Self Made mean to you?

For some, they’re just pretty words… but for Miguel Aguilar, It’s a lifestyle.

Miguel grew up in the rough neighborhoods of Riverside California surrounded by gangs, drugs and violence around every corner you turned and life at home was anything but perfect. From the earliest age he could remember life was hard, and he didn’t have a parental structure in place. Dad wasn’t around much and mom was a pathological liar who eventually abandoned Miguel with his father by age 12. Fast forward to 16 years old in High School his father went to prison and he was kicked out of the house by his step mom.

Miguel was living in his car and bouncing from couch to couch just to survive and avoid being thrown back in the system. He hustled every single day to earn his keep and was just barley able to graduate High School. Moving forward he took on all kinds of jobs and thanks to his hustle mentality he was able to begin living a normal life while working real estate and things were starting to look up for him.

But after the crash in ’08 Miguel like many others, had to file for bankruptcy and find a new way to support himself. By 2012 he came to the wild idea of solving a problem that many trainers in the fitness industry are faced with – lack of facilities to use with their clients. He began training people out of his garage and once he started to really envision what it could become, he decided to use every penny he’s ever saved in order to open a training facility…Self Made. He ended up selling his cars and anything he could get his hands on just to scrape up the additional money he needed to purchase the workout machines and décor. After grinding in the facility for months, he was able to make back all the money he spent, but rather than wasting it he reinvested into opening other locations. The moment he realized he had something great on his hands he began franchising Self Made to others, and the rest was history.

By the end of 2019 there will be 3 more Self Made Facilities opening across the U.S bringing him to 20 locations and it doesn’t stop there. Miguel plans to open hundreds of facilities in every state and is constantly on the hunt for new opportunities. From being abandoned, homeless and left to rely on himself, Miguel is now the CEO of a wildly successful training facility racking in well over 7 figures and is the true definition of a Self Made Man.

Miguel Aguilar, the Self Made CEO of Self Made Training Facility – the Unreal Zero to Zenith Story

Temecula, CA – August 20, 2019 – Self Made Training Facility is a gym with a difference and the company’s CEO, Miguel Aguilar had a very humble and unlikely beginning. Today, with over 17 locations across the width and breadth of the US, Self Made Training Facility is carving a niche for itself with the incredible entrepreneurial skills of its founder Miguel Aguilar. Miguel Aguilar’s astonishing rise to success is an inspiring story, and the gym is redefining personal fitness training and its franchises.

Making things happen despite the odds is a skill few possess – Miguel Aguilar has what it takes. He had all odds stacked against him. At just ten years old, he had a mother who is a drug addict. And then, his father was sentenced to prison for 22 years when he was 16. Consequently, he wound up homeless and living out of his car. He had to battle it out on the streets to survive – he raised himself on the mean streets. Miguel Aguilar was trying to figure out how to make somebody out of himself. There was no smooth sailing – he was roughed up by drug addiction, bankruptcy, and other bog downs before building his business from the ground up. Miguel Aguilar is SELFMADE, and today, he has a robust multi-million dollar fitness franchise, he runs with his beautiful wife Autumn Aguilar, the Self Made Training Facility.

With all their heuristic skills and self-motivation, falling and getting back up again, Miguel Aguilar and Autumn Aguilar worked to build one of the most exciting personal training franchises in the country. Their ingenuity created a phenomenon in the fitness industry with Miguel’s revolutionary concept. The deal was not to charge members a monthly membership fee as traditional gyms do. Instead, the couple managed to understand that perhaps there was an opportunity to cater exclusively to personal trainers. And, they realized that it’s something feasible and now they operate by merely charging those personal trainers a flat monthly fee. This way, they are facilitated to manage their training business out of, build their own business, earn over 6-figures doing so, and keep every dollar they earned in profit margin.

Miguel Aguilar was an overweight kid who had life hammering him hard. But, he stuck it out passionately and turned out phenomenal as a self-made, multi-million dollar fitness entrepreneur. Self Made Training Facility is the fruit of Miguel Aguilar’s resilience, hard work, passion, learning, dedication, and mostly his high-degree of self-respect.

Miguel Aguilar is the CEO and founder of “Self Made” training facility and although massively successful to this day, it wasn’t always so. Growing up in a negative environment filled with violence and gangs, life was anything but easy.

Adding in the fact Miguel’s mother was a pathological liar with mental issues, his childhood was a montage of moving from place to place and struggling to find stability. At the age of 12 years old he was abandoned by his mother and by 16 abandoned by his step mother and became homeless with his younger brother.

Struggling to provide for himself and enduring soul sucking jobs, he eventually landed a position in the real estate industry where his worth ethic started to shine. After years of grinding, surviving and even succeeding in the 2008 crash, things seemed to be going well.

But after tough competition in the market, Miguel was forced to file bankruptcy. Despite the challenges he faced, he persevered and eventually made a name for himself within the fitness industry and has been changing the game ever since!

Don’t miss out on this heart wrenching story of a young boy going from nothing and no one, to a top entrepreneur and 1%ER!

America, land of the free, home of the brave. Our great country is known around the world as the land of opportunity, where a person with grit, determination, and gusto can make a comfortable life for themselves through hard work and determination. Nothing quite says “I’ve arrived” as a classy custom car, and that is part of the reason why many Americans still pour their hard-earned dollars into tricking out vehicles near and dear to their heart.

Miguel Aguilar, a native son of SoCal, has worked hard his whole life. His many achievements include taking 1st place in the NPC Excalibur bodybuilding contest, starting his own real estate firm, and being a husband and father to two young daughters. The man is the epitome of self made, and to celebrate his success he commissioned a 1959 Chevy Impala convertible that definitely lets people know that Miguel has indeed arrived in style.

Introduced in 1957 as a 1958 model, the Chevy Impala immediately found sales success as Chevy’s top-end automobile. It came with all the fins, chrome, bells, and whistles you’d expect from a late 50s Chevrolet. Yet just one year after its introduction, the Impala was dramatically restyled as part of GM’s economizing its lineup.

Miguel saw fit not to mess too much with perfect, leaving the body and styling of this 1959 Impala intact, except he opted for a set of custom Intro wheels to round out the stance. The Impala was restored by Ultimate Hydraulics, who also added airbags to all four corners to allow the Impala to skate along the streets just inches off the ground.

That isn’t the only suspension upgrade the self-made Impala got; a 9-inch Ford rear end replaces the stock setup, as well as four-wheel disc brakes. But the real heart of this beast is under the hood, where a LS2 V8 engine replaces one of seven different V8 engine setups the ‘59 Impala came with. With 385 horsepower on tap, the LS2 V8 is worlds away a superior engine, offering this big old Chevy plenty of power to motivate it down the road.

There is no supercharger, nitrous, or hidden turbo system here; while powerful, this LS2 engine seems perfectly content with cruising duties. Perhaps that is why Miguel opted to keep the interior looking stock, though it has been updated with newer seats and of course a classy audio system. Our favorite feature though is the custom Dakota Digital dashboard that keeps the outline of the original gauges, but replaces them with something thoroughly 21st century.

All too often, we come across cars that are either half-baked, as though the builders gave up at some point or overdone to the point where less becomes more. Miguel’s 1959 Impala however, is a refreshing look at the right details that make for a great cruiser and  adding a few modern amenities that do nothing to detract from the classic look and feel of a chromed-out masterpiece of automotive design. Job well done Miguel, we can’t wait to see what’s next!
